WA Lit Journal

2020: Discovery

The Words Alike Literary Journal is a BiAnnual [every two years] journal featuring flash fiction, poetry and art.

Words Alikes aim to encourage new and aspiring writers to write as much as they can and put themselves out there. Our team itself is made of new, aspiring and/or young writers.

On the flip side of Écrire!, we will be hosting the lit journal in the second half of the year, specifically after April. Literary journals bring more opportunities than competitions, accepting more entries and publishing works in an anthology. We hope to give writers the experience of publishing work and giving them a place to enter their work.

See below for more information on how to submit and the submission guidelines. We are also open to board applications.

THEME

The theme for this edition is "Discovery". This is a broad theme to allow writers to express as freely as they can. Discovery can mean something you have discovered about the world, about another person or about yourself.

Perhaps there is a cafe you discovered that you enjoy, or something about your identity. Maybe you found out something about your friend or significant other. These are things you can write or draw about.
